Still a good place to donate to!
I did this owl and kite illustration after the Australian wildfires of 2020, I still encourage people to donate to WIRES who is one of the rehab groups helping injured wildlife. Donate if you can, they still help many animals! www.wires.org.au

Can't help but notice a protracted recent silence here that suggests this belief may not be consistent. Curious!
Violence is always unacceptable, and threats of violence have no place in public discourse. Our thoughts are with Charlie Kirk and his family.

Best TikTok thing going is the two dudes trying food from every country without leaving NYC. If you haven’t seen them yet, it’s incredible. My favorite so far is last week’s. Legit got me emotional.

I went to a Mandarin restaurant about a month ago and I swear everything was more salty than I remember and there were far more spicy options than they usually would offer, like someone had changed their core menu for the usual offerings
My pet hypothesis for which I have no proof is that the reason everything is hot or spicy now is because so many people have permanently damaged senses of smell and taste from COVID that food has to have a tactile sensory component (in this case, light burning) for it to seem flavorful

#ThrowbackThursday to when I had this idea to start a Pokemon bird artwork series and only ever did two birds 😂🐦✨ Should I start it up again? I remember really liking how Alteria came out for using Sing 🎶🩵 Would also want to draw more Starraptor #pokemon #art #birds #birbs

In 2024, I rose in Senate QP to ask why the Govt of Canada was still using X for official communications. Today, they are still there. What exactly will it take to break the spell?

I think, every so often, about how the student protesters in South Korea figured out there was a finite supply of tear gas, and then staged retreating marches that caused police to burn off most of it, before the big "bring your auntie and kids" marches that ultimately toppled the dictatorship.

A few weeks ago I tried to capture the autumn migration of salmon going upstream using the salmon ladders in Old Mill park in urban Toronto. I didn't think any of my shots turned out but a few did, this brown trout was the best one 😃🐟✨ #photography #NaturePhotography #Toronto #fishies

Still works!
I have difficulty just relaxing at home (too much internalizing of the capitalist mindset regarding being "productive" 🙄) but I have found I can trick my brain if I read fiction lol So here's my holiday reading, since I just discovered there are Dune-related books I haven't read yet.

What is up with Musk companies just endlessly failing without some sort of contract cancellation or firing or jail time???
NEW: The FAA predicted Elon Musk’s Starship would cause “minor or minimal” disruption. Then the rockets exploded twice in three months over busy airspace.

Flight data reveals how many planes scrambled to protect passengers and avoid burning debris.

Where the hell are Google and Apple enforcing their app store terms of service on X? Grok doing CSAM should instantly be a removal from the app store. Any other app doing this would be pulled instantly. Journalists should be asking for comment from these companies.

yeah, it's important to note that what dell said is that they aren't pushing AI as their general-consumer level marketing thing because they think the general consumer does not understand what AI is and how it can help them
"dell is not pushing AI" story is bollocks

i went looking for anything other than that PCGamer selective quoting, and everything else Kevin Terwilliger said at CES is AI, AI, AI

even the quotes are in the context of Dell pushing local AI really hard and pushing the suitability of their PCs for AI
