Remember how appalled we all were in 2022 when Russia completely unprovoked attacked Ukraine? That is what we’re doing tonight with Venezuela. We are the bad guys here. Everyone who supports this is supporting unprovoked murder. Fuck every last one of them

Good for Reuters for changing their headline. Pressure works. Grok did not do this. Elon Musk did.

call me crazy but it really feels like “World’s Richest Man Creates AI Chatbot That Generates Child Porn” would’ve been a huge international outrage requiring a governmental crackdown not even 24 months ago

Mass Effect style dialogue wheel except the only dialogue options ever offered are "No, yeah, for sure." and "Damn, that's crazy"

ICYMI: I recently put out "Hope for the Future for Piano," my piano homage to Paul McCartney's work on Destiny, featuring some cool nods to obscure mixes and facts about the original song, as well as featuring a mix with the one and only @lauraintravia.bsky.social!

@larianstudios.com and defenders: Please stop saying using genAI is "just like Photoshop" etc. Photoshop (or anything else you want to pretend genAI is like) has never caused a water shortage, a RAM shortage, or a potentially catastrophic economic bubble, and it was not created via theft.

The year is 2035. There are three game studios left. Each one produces a game every 10 years, killing 250+ developers in the process. They all accidentally make the same game because they used genAI in preproduction. They sell 500 million units each, missing quarterly targets. Everyone is laid off.

“AI is ok as long as it’s not taking anyone’s job” and whose work is it trained on. Did you forget that it’s a bunch of stolen fucking shit? Are we moving the goalposts already? “it’s sticking around so you have to get used to it, be realistic” no I don’t. Eat my shit and hair

Nothing is more symbolic of Europe's inherent weakness of resolve - EU and UK - than the failure of governments and institutions to leave X/Twitter en masse. It's easier to stay, so stay they do. Pathetic.
First, leave X. Leave X. Now.

Rule of thumb, don't ever listen to a CEO about anything related to Ai.

Ai is being marketed as "helping" devs but devs don't like it and are being forced to use it.

The only thing Ai is guaranteed to create are layoffs, it's really good at that.

If you're trying to convince your friends to spend time on Bluesky rather than X, maybe show them this. X is not "the public town square" or about "free speech." It's "just what Elon Musk wants you to see." If you see stuff he doesn't like he'll step in to make sure you don't see it for long.
If you scroll on X, you are only being shown what Elon wants you to see. If you create content on X, no one will see it unless Elon wants them to.

I bought, read and finished Arborescence by Rhett Davis today - I don't even know where to begin on how I feel, other than being totally annihilated.

Some books make my brain feel content, but this hurt my heart in a way that it hasn't been in a while, and made me cry. Thanks Rhett!
