This Great Blue Heron has chosen to winter in Central Park. I see it regularly, standing stoically on the ice--but never fishing. Hoping it is going to make it until the ice thaws! 💙🩶❤️ #Herons #CentralPark #birding

The nazis redistributed the stolen property of deported Jews to the German population. It was called Aryanization.

This is no different.

This recent cold snap has made us all long underwear experts. I literally spent 25 minutes last night, talking to someone about the different kinds of long underwear and their different strengths.

If you see this, don't participate. It's a rigged study by Lisa Littman and unethical researcher J. Michael Bailey meant to undermine access to care. Spread the word.

Milquetoast #twoamericas

We need to face the truth: There ain't no returning to empathy and love for one another simply because there was none. This shit is happening ONLY because majority of white people were OK with any and all repressions that existed in the past aimed towards non- whites.

the primary blocker to UBI is the puritan belief that humanity is so sinful and depraved that it should not be permitted personhood unless it becomes 'civilised'

that's how liberal social policy ended up asserting that helping people would harm them but hurting people would help them

Friday's Weather Rating: 1/10

I've got nothing. It's horribly cold, with wind chill values below zero and high temperatures barely reaching the teens this afternoon. The sun is not helping much. The vibes have completely frozen over!!

So many fake issues in our country, with devastating repercussions, stem from contrived narratives based on faulty perceptions. From the deadly delivery bikes to dangerous immigrants. These perceptions exist because of our generational lack of critical thinking and processing facts. Easy to spin.
Delivery workers are less likely to run red lights, ride on sidewalks and ride without helmets than their recreational counterparts — defying claims that they sow street chaos, according to a new observational study of more than 1,700 cyclists.
Delivery Workers Are the Safest Cyclists On the Road, Study Finds - Streetsblog New York City
A new study from sociology researchers at Hunter University found that Delivery Workers are the safest cyclists on the road.

This is like that time when gun manufacturers secured a law where they cannot get sued if the weapon does what is supposed to do lol
Who bears the liability for the damage an AI agent like Gemini does in the world? Is it the billionaires and fancy companies who released this tech into the wild without understanding how it operates, who stole heedlessly to create it, and who derive the profits from it? Or is it you, the consumer?

On Holocaust Remembrance Day, we remember the six million Jewish people murdered by the Nazis, as well as countless other victims.

We honor their lives by rejecting the evils of antisemitism, dehumanization, and authoritarian violence wherever they appear.

Never again means never again for anyone.

Legitimately a feat of carefully calculated writing to issue a Holocaust Remembrance Day statement of this length without mentioning either (1) the people who perpetrated the Holocaust or (2) the people against whom they perpetrated it

Which is true mark of the Nazi ideology. Totally ontrol your own people by terrorizing selected scapegoat minority.
Something I've been trying to impart on people is that the ICE occupation in Minnesota is both an ethnic cleansing and an ideological terror campaign. It's clear that the second part has utterly failed; the community is not terrified. But ICE is now desperately trying to salvage the first part.

Did anyone follow up with questions? It's not just untrue that there were snow days back in the day but he also did grow up here? There are literally no journalistic hits on google search, just social media.
I think it's really bad that the group that claims to speak for Jews at Columbia University is so grossly xenophobic.

Also - Mamdani did grow up in NYC.

In addition to being openly xenophobic and wrong on whether Mamdani grew up in NYC (he went to primary, middle and high school here), they're also just wrong about NYC public schools and snow days.

They either didn't grow up here or went to private schools which do call snow days more frequently
