Also, students tend to jump or just go on the bus without swiping their cards which are paid for already so it also distorts the numbers. These spikes and half moons seem to be designed to deter kids. I just don't trust these projections and paying security guards (to do what?) seems a bigger waste.

It worked

For me this was one of those "geez, some people" stories... because the trip itself was never really in my budget. My almost adult kids tell me they didn't mind because we compensated with other stuff. Never really paid attention to the story but the headlines sure etched in my memory.
