I once - no word of a lie - heard Simon Bates play All Around The World immediately after Radio 1's Newsbeat had featured a story about a baby going missing from a hospital. #totp

They’re running Under Milk Wood as originally broadcast, for the first time, this weekend on R4 Extra. Obviously, it’s brilliant. And I highly recommend a listen. It still sounds amazing; truly timeless. The most dated bit is the credits - but, oh, those character names.

Keep thinking of when Disney tried to sue the BBC when Alexei Sayle’s Stuff parodied Snow White and the BBC legal person was heard to say, ‘Fuck Disney, we’re the BBC.’

Spoke to someone tonight who was at his 200th Half Man Half Biscuit gig. I suggested it must be something of a record, at which he nodded to the guy next to him, who coughed “221…”

Don’t want to intrude on private grief but what’s the thought process here with the British Rail logo?
I really don’t like using or seeing ‘Divorced Dad’ as a punchline or insult. There are so many good reasons why divorces happen, and millions of dads who don’t turn twisted or bitter. Wonderful people who don’t deserve to be slurred.

Having said that, the energy this Rangers banner gives off…
