Something I didn't mention in that preview - Small Prophets handles grief, loss, loneliness and dementia with the kind of subtle depth and sensitivity that was utterly beyond the heavy-handed grasp of Crook's former colleague G*rvais in his atrocious solo endeavours. And I'm sure Crook knows that.
