Electric Road right of way update: Campaigners are now looking for people aged 55+ who used the Bulstake Path or the Electric Road before 2000, (ideally before 1980), even if they no longer live in Oxford, in order to establish evidence of regular use of the paths for at least 20 years before 2000.
Campaigners are seeking statements from anyone who has walked Electric Road, the path from Osney Mead to South Hinksey. The path is not yet formally a public right of way, meaning access could be withdrawn at any time; the campaign aims to apply for it to become one.

I am pretty well into a script titled "you are being misled about renewable energy"

Not gonna pull out studies. Don't need to go over climate change.

Just a simple, plain conversation where we look at the realities of renewables vs. fossil fuels and I say "stop letting Republicans lie to you"

The single most useful thing I’ve read about ovarian cancer - how to spot the symptoms, talk to your GP and get tested. Wish I’d known all this earlier in the summer.

A (slightly belated) happy new year! Allow me to introduce myself to those of you unfamiliar with my work; I’m Lee, I’m a painter from England, I’m a fan of abandoned buildings, moody narratives and quiet, mildly foreboding landscapes.

A Washington Post article suggests that, beyond a certain threshold, larger homes don't make people happier. Instead, well-being is correlated with affordable housing in walkable neighborhoods where they feel socially connected.

worried sending a letter to my less-online relatives telling them not to use AI would come across as condescending, but I’ve gotten great feedback! my uncle in particular complimented me for being “measured in tone, comprehensive in scope, and aligned with evolving realities” :)

Message from Ida

There will be a celebration of Graham's life, 12th January 2.30pm at Town Hall, Frome. Totally understand if you can't come, but if you can it would be lovely. There will be a chance to share funny or nice stories/memories of Graham.

As promised, one aspect of what I do every day this week.

I also work on 'gender mainstreaming' which is basically creating better places which are more gender equal. The great thing about this is that great examples of good practice already exist in Europe so I get to be positive.

What's the most ridiculous way you ever hurt yourself? I got out of the tub, skidded in water and tripped over the toilet. Ankle sprain.
