Corruption in court?

A judge overseeing the trials of several Merseyside pensioners under the Terrorism Act (accused of supporting Palestine Action) has reportedly agreed a request by the prosecutor to allow police to change statements in several of the cases.

As an MP and government minister, Streeting pulls in £160k a year - plus hefty expenses and donations

You’d hope that would buy the NHS a leader genuinely equipped for the job

Instead we get a Wes, someone more focused on bullying doctors than showing he understands the org he’s meant to lead
'Don't tell me you don't want to be out on strike - because that is exactly where you are. Own it.'

As resident doctors walk out again, Wes Streeting calls out the 'reprehensible and cartel-like behaviour' of their union.

GOOD NEWS! A groundbreaking study in MORE THAN 1,000 people reveals that cancer patients who received a COVID-19 mRNA vaccine within 100 days of starting immunotherapy lived dramatically LONGER than those who didn’t. In some cases, their survival rate was DOUBLED.

I cannot begin to properly articulate how upsetting it is to have had people baselessly accuse trans people of being groomers and pedophiles only for it to come out that they were deliberately doing this as part of a project to provide cover to actual groomers and pedophiles in positions of power

After Ghislaine Maxwell lied to Todd Blanche, someone waived her sex offender status and moved her to Club Fed with "OUT" custody - allowing her to work outside the prison walls. 3 months ago, I got her Bureau of Prisons points screen as proof. We still don't know who approved all this.
BREAKING: EXCLUSIVE: Senator Whitehouse asked the BOP for Ghislaine Maxwells sex offender waiver, custody level, transfer code, and security point score. I have them. She's also been granted the ability to leave the facility for work assignments. My latest: www.muellershewrote.com/p/exclusive-...
EXCLUSIVE: I Have Ghislaine Maxwell's Security Score, Custody Level, Transfer Code, and Sex Offender Waiver
I have reviewed an electronic file that includes some of the information Senator Whitehouse is demanding from the Bureau of Prisons.

Oh dear poor things. Does anyone remember a channel 4 interview with a landlord that was filmed outside his massive house with expensive cars parked in the front yard? The camera panned pointedly showing the house and cars while the man was speaking
A landlord on the Today programme just described landlords as “a race of people who are being targeted”. Parasites playing as victims.

Increase in productivity since 1979: 87%

Increase in hourly pay since 1979: 32%

Just so happens that ~25% of workers were unionized in 1979. Today? 10%.

As unions declined, the super-rich have taken a larger share of wealth generated by labor. We must build back union power.

Sickening rhetoric by Home Secretary. Denying access to human rights isn't "protecting the public". This is Labour further demonising those seeking asylum in language very reminiscent of the far right. Yes, some break the law, so should be prosecuted within the law. Removing rights is not the answer

Wait, for moment there I thought we were talking about America
Kyiv last night.
A democracy under attack from an autocratic, criminal regime that tortures and murders civilians, abducts children and that has carelessly expended the lives of more than a million of its own.
Russian forces struck Kyiv with missiles and drones, killing three and wounding 26 including a pregnant woman and two children, Mayor Klitschko said. Rescuers saved 84 people across eight districts hit by debris and direct strikes.

Labour could, if not for a humane reason then at least a political one, be countering Reform's narrative. That's the only way to beat them on this. Instead they're emulating it, and in so doing reinforcing it. If Reform win the next election it will be entirely on this government for facilitating it

I organise EIAs for a living. You do policy, you do an EIA. It's the first thing an FoI request would ask for. If it's a trans thing you don't fuck around because there's a cottage industry in asking for FoIs on this stuff.

This is insane to me.
