Frog and Toad stayed on the island all afternoon. They ate wet sandwiches without iced tea. They were two close friends sitting alone together.

One of our union organisers said recently that most execs can't understand solidarity because they've never experienced it and that felt so accurate to me.

They desperately want love, respect, and community, but they also crave power and those do not all align.

No one is telling me the pope’s favorite movies so I will have to make them up. I assume the first two spots are taken by Sister Act and Sister Act 2

One of my clients died yesterday. She was an absolutely lovely woman, full of faith and joy and light. She cared deeply about the people around her. She was a source of encouragement and support to the women she was incarcerated with. She was 51 years old and had spent 28 years in prison.

Update:
Because Holman airfield has international flights they must have a customs office.
The building project reported by the city is a replacement of an existing customs office.
I have seen no indication that this project is anything other than a replacement for a very old facility.
I reached out to federal delegation to get some answers on this project. It’s a surprise and a very unwelcome one.

No home for ICE and CBP in Saint Paul.

Let me run the Bond franchise and I’ll blow him up at the end of every movie. Maybe several times within each movie if it feels right. He’ll be back the next movie (or scene) and nobody will talk about it, but man are we gonna explode that guy a LOT.

I waited a day to say this bc I respected everyone's right to vent some anger, but *remember to focus on what you can do*. Whether it's defending your community, taking action around what you've been venting about, whatever — but don't let all of your energy get captured in the social media space.

It's me again, just putting it out there that I am going to need space in 2026 for at least 5 events that can hold at least 100 people. Looking for accessible and also CHEAP spaces in NYC. None of the convenings will be charging people to participate. Thank you.

The amount of organizing necessary to do anything about the current political situation, and I’m speaking about democrats, is generally beyond our power right now and they know this. That’s why. It’s not cowardice. It’s that they can get away with it and benefit from fascism.

The regime despises poor people, yes. And importantly it does not fear poor people as a political force. It's important to take both of these together to understand what they are doing with SNAP. They do not believe that they will incur lasting political costs for their current actions.
