12YO girl signed up to do “stand up comedy” at the talent show. 13YO boy decided to heckle her. Teacher started to tell the boy to leave her alone, but the 12YO comedian said “no, no, let him go, this is the closest he’s ever going to get to having a conversation with a girl.”
What's an insult you'll never forget?

Seeing people use generative AI is extremely embarrassing. They're like tiny children being given controllers that aren't plugged into the gaming system and they're smashing buttons shouting, "I'm winning!" Only they're adults, fully capable of playing but they want the unplugged controller.

just saw a video asking “i wonder if the people who are like ‘good art is good art regardless of how it got made’ (ie ai) would also enjoy watching ai-generated sports/games/matches” and i can’t stop laughing. it’s such a great parallel that they’ll never accept.

I'm really proud of what we built with Earth vs Mars and players seem to be really enjoying it.

If an Advance Wars style strategy game with a wild sci-fi B-movie story voiced by some fantastic actors sounds like your thing, now is the perfect time to pick it up.

This feels like a fairly recent development that's being driven by the amount of press coverage concurrent user counts get these days.
Saw a forum post decrying a GOTY pick by citing its modest concurrent user count on Steam, and if you think that is in any way a useful indicator of a game's quality then you shouldn't be allowed to use the computer.

I'm currently working on a novel and at the end of an average day, I'm wiped out. The sheer amount of analysis, synthesis, making of connections, layering of prose, deepening of characterization, supplemental research... all the mental work is intense and exhilarating. Which is just to say, fuck AI.
