You can knock off these paintball hoppers on literally any of these. If it’s chaotic enough they won’t be getting it back on very easily or quickly. Doesn’t seem like many of them use locking hoppers.

This is important and, also, not not new. There were reports of this in LA, Portland, and Chicago, at least, as well.
Just so people outside of MN know - a lot of the US citizens getting “arrested” by ICE never get processed at Whipple. They are roughed up during the arrest and then often dropped off miles from where they were picked up. It means we don’t know the true scale of what ICE is doing based on ICE stats

The Insurrection Act doesn't give Trump anything *new* though. It's functionally just an exception to the Posse Comitatus Act -- but Trump's been disregarding Posse Comitatus anyway, and the courts take months before saying "No, bad Trump" by which time ICE has moved on

I really like Gov. Tim Walz. But it's no longer enough for him to stand up for the citizens of Occupied Minneapolis. He needs to stand up WITH them. He needs to go there in person and add his body to the line.
Peaceful protest requires leaders willing to put their own bodies on the line.

And let's be super clear, it's the rural gentry and corporations in particular that are being empowered by this
The deck is stacked in about 10 different ways to give extra power and money to rural areas, but it's never enough. Right wing propaganda continues to tell them they are out upon victims powerless against the mighty cities.
Stage 5 pundit-brain is watching an innocent woman being killed by agents of the state and going, "hmm this says a lot about the urban-rural divide in America."
