One of the great joys of the Winter Olympics is Johnny Weir and Tara Lipinski calling the figure skating. They have this wonderful friendship, are both former Olympians and help us see the performance through their eyes, and are so cute on Instagram. I adore them. I only want good things for both.
I love how the ice skating announcers are extremely specific in explaining each skill means how they work in detail and then the snowboard/ski x-games-style announcers are like “that was a butter olly half twist upside downie tubular wonky banana flabber jabber” with no further information.
