Has the NY Times ever asked Trump or the many other far-right figures in his circle and in the Republican Party whether they would classify themselves as fascist?

While vaccines for diseases that no longer carry a universal recommendation will still be covered by federal health insurance programs, RFK Jr’s schedule change will increase confusion and distrust in vaccines, lower vaccination rates, and increase disease and death.

Most of these countries are having no trouble noting that the Maduro regime was systematically repressive while also pointing out that the U.S. has violated the UN Charter and international law. This is not actually that complicated.

He’s going with Marco Rubio’s line: there’s no war with Venezuela, this was a law enforcement operation. He explicitly cites the Noriega precedent.

fwiw he could call it a friendly game of capture the flag and it would still be a sovereignty violation

I expect Colombia’s statement right now prefigures what we’ll hear from a lot of Latin America states in particular and small states in general: the violation of the UN Charter is unambiguous, and the shadow of past periods of interventionist US foreign policy loom large

Something a media organization might do is state in the headline (or article!) that Kelly was absolutely right. That could be relevant and perhaps even crucial for the reader to know
The Pentagon will cut the military retirement pay of Sen. Mark Kelly for what Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth called the Arizona Democrat’s “seditious” statements on a video telling service members they have the right to refuse to execute illegal orders.

Anyone who believes in democracy needs to renounce Fetterman. And the Democratic Party needs to vet its candidates better.

RUBIO: It wasn't necessary because this was not an invasion. We didn't occupy a country. This was an arrest operation.

Woh. I don't know the story in MN, and I get age fears.

But Walz is one of the better national politicians. He's also the victim of pollsters telling him to ignore his own instincts and a massive right-wing propaganda onslaught. We continue to underestimate Elon's hate machine at our own risk.
Walz evidently lost DFL support. Klobuchar, Ellison, or Sec State Simon may run.

This actually strikes me as the real bottom line.
I think the "war room" photo shoot where we saw them all hunched over a twitter feed, desperately looking to see what people were posting about their kidnapping, tells us all we need to know about their priorities and interests, here.

Sick as it is, they did this to create content for the base.
None of them are on the same page at all, they just make up something on their own for whoever they're talking to at the moment. Maybe there isn't a "real reason," they just posted themselves into it
