Not to do the thing again, but hard to imagine how Obama would have made it to year two in office if he raked in billions in year one.

A great view of the GOP and it’s voters.
They complain about everything.

Imagine being the most indulged voting bloc in the country and still centering your entire political identity on grievance.

That’s the modern GOP voter and congressman.

So I went overboard premaking the bûche de noel decorations, thinking I would have a leisurely time putting together the cake, artistically placing the perfect meringue mushroom here, the best sugared cranberry there, adding a light touch of moss. But instead I got drunk and dumped EVERYTHING on it.

Trump's net worth increased by $4 billion. All of the wealth was gained by manipulating his power as president. Nothing like this has ever happened before.

Again, most of MAGA thought they could have Trump’s racism with Biden’s economy. Unfortunately the felon they elected thinks he’s an economic genius, the multiple bankruptcies notwithstanding.

Golly David Brooks, why has public discourse become so coarse? It’s a stumper. Probably not the late, nightly racist social media meltdowns from the President of the United States. No, I bet it’s because of those liberals.

You mean the happy, nice America that you, Jeffrey Epstein, and Donald Trump grew up in? That America?
Why have Americans become so mean, sad, and alienated? The answer is simple, @nytdavidbrooks argues. People no longer grow up learning how to be decent to one another: bit.ly/4qskLny

President Trump proposed that television broadcast licenses be revoked if networks or late night programs consistently present negative coverage of his presidency.

You don’t need 12 companies. Two or three is enough.
Corporate bankruptcies surged in 2025, rivaling levels not seen since the immediate aftermath of the Great Recession, as import-dependent businesses absorbed the highest tariffs in decades.

Back from a week in Canada visiting my in-laws.

Normally we get together in the Poconos, as it’s central for all of the families, but the in-laws aren’t comfortable coming here under Trump’s new rules so we moved it all north of the border.

That’s probably $8k that would’ve gone to Pennsylvania.
