Finally got myself a long-awaited copy of Hundreds of Beavers!!! Immediately became one of my top 10 movies. A refreshing comedy that really pays homage to the styles of old, black and white slapstick classics. Can't wait to dig into the extras!

there are, and have been, legitimate procedural and machine learning techs: they handle the work internally in a program/system, and aren't necessarily reliant on the mega-data infrastructures that genAI is infamous for, but slimeballs took up "AI" to lump it together to finesse billions away
If we’re going to get really no quarter about genAI usage, I’m going to need people to learn the difference between AI and genAI real fast.

I’ve been in game dev for 26 years and I can’t remember any other time where a specific tech was being insistently and persistently pushed on devs as a group in the public sphere.

My conspiracy theory about genAI in games blowing up more and more by big companies is that they’ve all got a ton of investors insisting they use genAI tools otherwise they(investors) won’t be able to bankroll em anymore
