More of the same from the GOP cacuses goers in this story. ICE violence is OUR fault and That Guy says mean things but I really like his strong leadership style. 🙄

These folks can't be reasoned with, but they CAN be crushed in November. Are you in?

They never quote Jesus, except to say why his words, actually, don’t apply.

Also Mike, the KJV is not a reliable translation. I know this might shock you, but no one in the Bible spoke English. Maybe take a break from ruining America and take biblical Greek/Hebrew if you want to exegete.
Mike Johnson is so full of shit, you can smell it. "Yes well, God did command us to love each other, but this doesn't apply to us."
Speaking on behalf of a religion that actively sought to spread itself to every country in the world whether invited or not, Speaker Johnson would like to share with you the Biblical case for strong borders.

My kid is 5 and we live in northeast MPLS. He says if anyone tries to steal our neighbors he will kick them in the face.
Rewire is about to publish a story reported from Minneapolis about how parents are trying to explain the ICE invasion to their kids. It includes interviews with littles as young as 5 who want to protect their friends from the "naughties" and when I say tears were shed during editing.

Stay tuned.

Trump supporters are claiming that whistles should be “considered a violent weapon,” that their use constitutes “interference” with immigration enforcement operations or even “assault.”

In other words—the rapid response networks are working. The whistles are working.

Let no one tell you otherwise.

DOJ solving a shortage of competent attorneys by tapping non-competent true believers and flinging them around the country to wherever ICE is terrorizing this week is not going to be welcomed by lower court judges who expect gov attorneys to be familiar with the rules of that particular district
oh man court is about to get so much stupider
Exclusive: DOJ is requiring all 93 US attorneys to designate prosecutors for "emergency jump teams" supporting surge districts dealing with assaults & obstruction of federal officers, per internal memo. Comes as more Minn. prosecutors resign. news.bloomberglaw.com/us-law-week/...

I saw it and it's that bad. The comedian is doing a really good thing though and unmasking these people for how terrible they are.
I’m not gonna post it because it’s genuinely so grim but there’s this comedian who set up a fake ICE tip line for people to call to report on immigrants and he posts their conversations on TikTok. The most recent post of his was a Kindergarten teacher who wanted one of her students parents deported.

lower court judges stopped reflexively granting the admin the presumption of regularity months ago based both on gov actions and DOJ lawyer actions. dropping a "jump team" of random lawyers with no connection to the jurisdiction and no knowledge of cases is not going to restore that in the least.

Oh no, the Cato Institute has gone WOKE
The US immigrant population generated more in taxes than they received in benefits from all levels of government every year from 1994 to 2023.

The Cato study provides the first-ever 30-year analysis of the fiscal effects of immigration on government budgets.

This is a tangible action members of Congress can take today. If your member of Congress voted for this act that violates due process, it’s time to vote for a new person in office.

A gentle reminder for politicians: It's one thing if someone says they care about an issue, another if they show up for it. It's a whole different level when they show up daily at risk to themselves. And they are.

They can show up for you, too.

Work to elect you.

If you show up too.

Do the work.
