kind of funny that an olympian said they are here to represent "compassion, respect, and love for others" and some people automatically knew that was a statement against them

Just like with Kilmer Abrego Garcia, the biggest sin any targeted immigrant can commit is winning battles — legal or PR battles — against the government, and they just won’t let those losses go

As far as I know, this is DHS's first effort to explain their position that I-205 forms allow entry into the home. They rely on the dicta in the 1960 Abel case (before Payton) and re-imagine the plurality opinion in Lucas as if it were the majority (and then overrely on it).

The GOP has offered nothing this century except for catastrophic wars. No healthcare plan; no re-industrialization. Now they're losing their only issue, immigration, as people see the violence and havoc that comes with mass deportations.
Wow! What sounded like the entire AEW Dynamite audience in Las Vegas tonight chanted "Fuck ICE! Fuck ICE!" in unison before the main event

one of my strongest beliefs is that we're in our situation right now bc some of the most prominent talking heads (e.g. joe rogan, andrew schulz) are learning about politics in their 40s and 50s, instead of their teens and early 20s, and we have to go along for the ride as they learn basic things

Elon Musk and others LOSE their bid to duck depositions in DOGE litigation.

Judge doubts protections for "high-ranking government officials" for multiple reasons. It's unclear they ever had that status, and Musk "left government service."

Fucking surreal that people dressed like this and carrying assault rifles are permitted to kidnap people off our streets

This reminds me of a time when my nephew (who was 4 at the time) got mad because his older cousins told him he couldn’t count to 100. He just stamped his feet and yelled “I know numbers! I know 13! I know 4! I know 100!” and continued spouting off numbers until he got it out of his system.

He’s going to tear down the Kennedy Center. The entire building. He tore down half the White House and no one stopped him; now he’s doing this. It’s annoying how many people are pretending they don’t understand this is what he’s openly saying he’s going to do.

I guess this might not be obvious to folks who aren’t in DC/regular attendees, but: The KC is a gorgeous venue. It is not run down, and certainly is not remotely in need of the kind of complete renovation that would require shutting it down for two years.
