I went home this weekend and I always try to cook a few meals for my folks when I do. My dad’s older brother lives nearby so I asked if he could take him some food. It made me realize not everyone has an Uncle Junior. I love my family so much 😂.

Also found at home - my parents loved East Coast beach music, but Doug Clark and the Hot Nuts were the favorites. They even played at my wedding but didn’t get to finish the third set (IYKYK 😂).

Tonight my son had me digging through my CD’s like I went through my parents’ albums. I had to explain to him that I needed CD case because the jewel cases took up too much space.

I have had a bond or cap on one of my front teeth since 1986 when my friend’s brother knocked out my tooth with a rock. The cap I have had since 2001 just decided to pop off during my vacation not in the States. I’m out here looking like Alfred E Neuman.

Everything’s bad but I made an incredible appetizer dish for dinner with my friend from UVA and his husband. I carefully wrapped it and drove from Arlington to Silver Spring. They always make the most incredible meals and I tried to match their dedication to good food.
