There was some discussion in the subreddit the other day (www.reddit.com/r/baltimore/...) & I do think The Whistle has become its own token. And I think the symbol is far less important than the effectiveness or the impact. If our impacted neighbors are saying no whistles, that’s all I need to hear

I think the thing I like about Tallarico (as someone who isn't Christian at all tbc!) relative to other liberal christians is that he's pretty open about and has a fairly coherent way of merging Christian doctrine and the left that's not just like "Jesus would want you to be nice"

The UAW's "stand-up strike" terrified the car firms -- we only needed ~30% to strike (in targeted plants) to grind everything to a halt (for 1/3 the cost!)
If we could achieve anything like that, as a rolling strike for political demands...
