I always thought the "Nazi Punk Bar" story was more allegorical than real, but damned if it didn't play out exactly like the fable over on X (the everything app!)
What this underscores is a fundamental truth that while none of the rest of us need supremacists in our spaces, and are just fine without them, supremacists need the rest of us or they collapse against each other. Without them we're fine. Without us they've got nothing.
Elon's little serfs are quite literally begging journalists to come back because every publicly available source of data shows people have fled the platform and young people won't use it.

My pitch for a THE BLOB remake would be 'take advantage of how non-horror people don't really know the '88 version'. Cast a bunch of likable comedians: Bill Hader, Charlie Day etc, shoot the trailer like a goofy send-up of the 50s original, then kill them all as graphically and horribly as possible

This might be the first time I have QT'd someone and said "doing the Lord's work" and not meant it ironically. Motion Smoothing is a pox on televisions.
Staying in a lot of hotels on tour, I started carrying a universal remote in my suitcase and I bookmarked the various codes/tricks to disable hospitality mode on the hotel room TVs so I could get into the settings and turn off the motion smoothing, no matter how hard they try to keep me out.
the only time i ever gave back to my community (cinephile dorks whose parents claim they can't see it but we suspect are messing with us a little)
