If you want a critique of AI company financials you could go read Jim Chanos on Twitter, a distinguished short seller and accounting expert, or you could come to Bluesky and watch this guy try and fail to reconcile cumulative net income to change in net cash because he thinks they’re the same thing.

So now that everybody’s had a while to mull it over we all agree that the Kirk shooting was like 100x more impactful than Luigi, right? It’s probably up there with Shinzo Abe if anything.

I’m kind of surprised that that ballroom stuff seems to be the scandal that’s breaking though to normies, who knew that sans-culotte mindset was so prominent among Americans

The moral message of Skyrim is that it’s bad to be a stupid provincial racist. Not the racism part, that’s objectively correct per the lore, but you can’t be some axe-swinging Nord hayseed. You need to be a very educated and cosmopolitan racist wizard if you want to reach true enlightenment.

I can’t decide if I should go on Twitter and do a post praising Mamdani for running one of the most successful dark horse campaigns of my lifetime or come to Bluesky and do a post pointing out that only getting 50.5% of the vote in NYC on the D ballot line is objectively horrific underperformance.

You’d think it would be a major scandal at least in certain circles that the CEO of America’s most valuable defense contractor gets absolutely blasted on heroic amounts of cocaine before going on TV and screaming about his stock being down 5%

Cross posting from X The Everything App: the viral claim that the highest earning 10% of Americans account for the majority of consumer spending is off by more than a factor of 2. The actual number for top decile spending is 23% of the total.

Let me be extremely clear about something here: in a real scientific discipline you cannot go from reading a blog post about the topic to director of the largest research institute in the field in a year and change. This is as close as proof as you're going to get that this is a fraudulent group

A crank take of mine that really pisses people off is that I believe a major contribution to police violence in the US is that a ton of cops have lead poisoning from indoor ranges making them impulsive and dumb, and fixing this would have huge positive effects www.cdc.gov/niosh/hhe/re...

Nowhere in this article is there any attempt to grapple with municipal finance beyond going "I don't understand this but it involves banks so it's a scam", nor any discussion of *why* Chicago is in a fiscal crisis, just warmed over OWS left-populist conspiraslop. thebaffler.com/latest/payin...

A much larger and more perniciously influential stream of left-wing thought than the No Bedtimers is the DSA Grover Norquist Caucus; here we see a U.K. affiliate at work. I’m afraid taxes will need to be raised on the middle class (via property and income) and the poor (via VAT) as well as the rich.
If "raising the basic rate of income tax to pay for well funded public services" is "basically evil" then I don't know what your conception of being left-wing actually is.
