Please sign @asthmaandlung.org.uk's petition calling for stronger #AirPollution limits in the UK.

The UK's legal levels for NO2 are four times higher than the safe level recommended by the World Health Organization. If the EU can come into line with interim @who.int levels, surely the UK can?

It’s REALLY important that #Vancouver’s Downtown Business Association, who were originally against downtown bike-lanes, are now among their most vigourous supporters, because of the evidence that they are better for downtown business than any street parking they replaced.

Bike-lanes mean business.

I’ve written a piece on the ever-growing evidence that interventions like 20mph zones save lives, and given this asking why there’s still even a big debate about implementing them. Includes v wise context from no-relation @ianwalker.bsky.social

Wales’s 20mph speed limit has cut road deaths. Why is there still even a debate?
Research suggests the scheme may be more popular than thought, with consultations dominated by a loud minority

For my mind, this video should be used as training material for designers to show them everything that's bad about UK roundabout design.

I am being deadly serious and my use of the word "deadly" is carefully chosen.

I cycled this when it was being built and it was worrying then..
A ride-though of the newly "improved" Colney Lane roundabout, the only walking and cycling route to the main regional hospital, the N&NUH.

It may be better for drivers, but for walkers and cyclists it's more dangerous

Lent begins this week. And if you're a medieval English abbot that means one thing: eel-rents!

At the start of Lent tenants all over England came to pay their yearly rent in eels. Hundreds of thousands of eels.

But how? Why?

Well...it's about sex & availability, you see. 1/7
