The fundamental holding was that it was not important to make sure votes were counted correctly because there was some bullshit deadline coming up and the preferred candidate of 5 of the 9 was up anyway so let’s just call it. Just made a complete joke of the electoral process.
i don't think that bush v. gore is the *worst* ruling in the history of the supreme court, but i do think it is the most openly *corrupt* ruling in its history. a real disgrace.

Amazing to get a no shit jury nullification
The Atlantic speaks with one of the jurors in the case of the man who threw a Subway sandwich at a federal agent.

The juror says that, despite two initial holdouts, it was ultimately pretty easy to acquit: "a clear majority felt it was nonsensical, like, don't waste our time or money."

The Founders were so concerned about bribery that the Constitution forbids it three separate times. Two emoluments clauses ban officials—unambiguously including the president—from accepting things of value, plus bribery is the only named impeachable offense besides treason.

Unprecedentedly corrupt.

It's not even necessarily an inner link, many of them are open about it.

The eugenicists want to maximize white reproductive output. Many see starting white reproduction at menarche as necessary for this goal.

Some also believe teen girls are uniquely suited for producing superior babies.
I think you could be forgiven for naively thinking that eugenics beliefs and being a paedophile are unrelated so be surprised that one chap had both vices. But I do think there is some inner link due to a shared preference for natural hierarchy. "It should be enforced, and when enforced exploited."
