other zillenials are doing it ironically? i just thought it was a nice song….
The Edmund Fitzgerald becoming like an ironic zillenial thing proves that all 9/11 needed was a folk ballad.

about how absurdities the claims in America what is the heavy lifting in the first world war, a conflict for which United States Army was not committed until like September 1918, two months before the war ended.
President Trump criticises France and others for celebrating remembrance day, saying, "We're the one that won the wars"

Surreal, and so very disrespectful to every person who fought in the wars for the freedoms we all enjoy today

I find it absolutely hilarious that he would claim that not even 20 years after the Civil War only 0.1% of the population of Chicago would be disabled.

This was the most catastrophic war in American history, with a similar scale of death (as a % of population) to the first world war in the UK.

how long before one enterprising executive leaves the silicon valley drug binge long enough to realize that people hate their current products and they could make a killing by making AI free versions of their products?
Microsoft has been talking about Windows becoming an “agentic OS” and online feedback seems have been universally negative.

I’m personally skeptical that an AI infused Windows desktop does anything that having ChatGPT on my phone and Gemini in my browser doesn’t already do better.

people are generally more receptive to me wearing a mask when I tell them I’ve gotten sick once in five years. Granted, I probably wouldn’t do it if I didn’t have a vulnerable caregiver, but it is a very nice perk.
Don’t ever let anyone tell you masking doesn’t work. I wear a mask religiously at work and haven’t gotten sick in years until today. I took my mask off at the Stranger Things premiere because it was hot inside and now I’m sick. Had to cancel my trip to SF this week ugggh. Wear a mask!!!!! It works!

I am not going to lie. I am quite unnerved by how this place decided to realign with the melters. We don’t in fact, need to assist the Republicans in destroying our country. It is in fact a good thing to force them to own 100% of their policies, and the effects that it has on every day Americans.

yeah, even if you like Schumer’s actions over the last year for some reason, the man has tanked one too many hits, and doesn’t really have the support of his party. Even if you’re as
charitable with him as you can be, you can only jump on so many grenades.
I think Schumer has to go because the trust just ain’t there, honestly. Like, whatever your opinions on the respective matters, the Israel/Palestine thing followed by the Mamdani thing followed by this one right after another… We need someone who can unite the party somehow. IDK who that’d be.

people wont remember this next year but the primary electorate definitely will, the first congressional primary is barely 4 months away and the democratic base is *engaged*

plus this isnt one event, its a pattern of behavior and there is no reason to think the current crop of dems will change.
A bit of a contrarian view. Democrats likely won't pay a price for this in the midterms. The American memory is quite short on political machinations. But Republicans are about to learn a central tenet of American politics: You cannot give people a benefit and then take it away.

In the century leading up to 1975, nearly 6000 freighters went down in the Great Lakes.

The Edmund Fitzgerald was the last.

The last. In 50 years, not a single commercial freighter has been lost in the Great Lakes.

Why?

It's NOAA. Of course it's NOAA.

Not gonna lie, I wasn't even aware there was supposed to be continuity in any of the bond movies other than the Daniel Craig ones.

I don't think you need to explain shit, just make a bond movie.
James Bond’s death in No Time to Die is causing a nightmare for the next film. Writers are stuck because Bond “was blown to pieces.”

Anthony Horowitz, author of three 007 novels, says:

“You can't have him wake up in shower and saying it was all a dream."

You didn't get a vote. You got a "promise" of a vote. From a party who is disappearing nannies & gardeners and zip-tying children. A party who has flushed Due Process in America down the toilet. Who has subjugated its Congressional duties to an autocrat. That's what everybody sees, Tim.
Kaine on why he thinks just getting a vote on healthcare is a win: "We're the minority party, but everybody will get to see who is standing for them when it comes to lowering their healthcare costs"
