If Democrats aren’t whipping votes against ICE funding, and letting conservative members vote to pass it, it means the Democratic Party supports ICE funding.

If your opposition to fascism is performative, then you don’t actually oppose fascism.

While the House Democratic leader announced personal opposition to a funding bill for the Department of Homeland Security, he won’t pressure his colleagues to do the same.

@ericsorensen.bsky.social giddy with excitement that he gets to vote for ICE funding. Probably almost as giddy as he was voting with Republicans on Lakan Riley Act. Or voting to say he loves ICE and wants to thank them for the kidnapping they do.
NEWS: While Hakeem Jeffries has announced he's opposing the DHS/ICE funding bill tomorrow, his team is not whipping the vote. Several frontliners are expected to vote yes. There's a difference in leadership between personal vote decisions & unifying the caucus.

This is a made-up problem. If someone is being a jerk to you for liking a TV show or romance novel, don't talk to them. Idk man I spent too long in science fiction and fantasy fandoms to get bothered by that shit.

Richard Hanania is a gutter racist and vile Nazi. He's not going to fight the destruction of our pluralistic society, social support systems, arts, and sciences; those are his goals.

He's an enemy who wishes Trump's reign was going better and is looking for an exit.

Do not allow him in the tent.

I can't trust politicians who are anti-trans. Not because I'm "only searching for perfection" which is what centrists will be accusing me of for the rest of my life, it's because if you're not pro-trans you'll be garbage on lots of other issues too. Being anti-trans NEVER exists in a vacuum.

A lot of people are going to be blindsided by these tools that they've thought are incompetent. Jobs will be lost that could have otherwise been kept if individuals were working with the technology instead of against it.

That is a very bad outcome!

Let me tell y'all about guys like Newsom, because we learned the hard way in Dallas.

Eric Johnson was a respected Democratic state rep when he was elected mayor in 2019. This made sense, as Dallas is deep blue. Johnson's tenure began normally.

But then he started hanging out with Republicans. 🧵
Ben Shapiro: "Israel did not commit a genocide in Gaza"
Gavin Newsom: "I agree with you."

I have the utmost respect for Senator Kaine and Senator Warner but we do not need “coaching” on redistricting coming from a cuck chair in the corner. How about you all stay focused on the fascist in the White House and let us handle redistricting in Virginia. 10-1

Non Californians too. Do not make him the nominee. We will not vote for him. Period.
Californians are NOT going to vote for Gavin Newsom. They're telling you now, with YEARS to go before the election. Fair warning. Please support better candidates, there will be many to choose from.

I’m seeing posts from people (outside of MN) about how US citizens should carry their passports.

And let me say that *inside* MN, we are calmly responding to requests with: “No, I don’t have to show you any documentation.”

Because that’s how you protect everyone, regardless of immigration status.

Stokely Carmichael said “in order for nonviolence to work, your opponent must have a conscience. The United States has none.” appealing to Trump in this way is ludicrous, and asking his victims to not “fan the flames of chaos” is just another way allow Trump to make even more victims

Don’t even have to look to know that Eric “I love ICE” @ericsorensen.bsky.social is on there voting to fuel Trump’s war mongering.
The House voted 341 to 79 to fund Trump's war-mongering foreign policy agenda.

Only 57 Democrats voted NO.

43% oppose abolishing ICE

This is the first time that abolishing ICE has received net positive support

Trump is a fascist. Which makes anyone who still supports Trump a fascist.
Trump’s line is that disrespect to law enforcement is punishable by death. Impeach and remove. This is not tolerable.
Q: "Do you believe that deadly force was necessary?"

Trump: "It was highly disrespectful of law enforcement. The woman and her friend were highly disrespectful of law enforcement…Law enforcement should not be in a position where they have to put up with this stuff."

"her friend" is extremely telling. He won't say "her wife". Because they're coming for Obergefell as soon as they've finished stripping trans folk of everything they can.

Except that we know the real reason they open gates for fascists and shoot peaceful protestors of fascism in the face.
There was amazing restraint and heroism by the U.S. Capitol Police and the Metropolitan Police Department on Jan. 6, 2021. They were viciously attacked by rightwing extremists and rioters incited by Trump.
Also, by their own standards, the cops protecting the Capitol on Jan 6 should have opened fire all over.
