I'm going to teach a workshop in how to respond when someone who does not really read horror at all asks you to show them your very weird book with lots of queer sex and body horror and murder and whatever else.

I love my pets so much. It's been a very difficult process to become human in this way. I used to be so free 😂 now I think of my rabbits' ears or my cats' little whiskers and I'm a sobbing mess.

I'm not going to share other people's personal business, but the importance of timely screenings has been of great importance as of late and I'm realizing that a skipped year can far too easily become a death sentence.

🚨 The Senate has agreed to a deal to vote on 5/6 full appropriations bills and replace the DHS funding measure with a 2-week stopgap bill, per multiple sources. That gives time to negotiate on the Dem demands for ICE and CBP restraints.

I maintain this! The best WW stories are horror stories and the OG Spider-Woman is basically an exploitation film. And that's when she was most strongly characterized. Coincidence? Hm!
Trying to establish a pattern based on @saracentury.bsky.social’s observation that the original Spider-woman and the Perez run of Wonder Woman are horror comics. Why would the world be filled with horrors for heroic women hmmmm… hmmmmmm…. Wonder what could be the point here……

Appreciate living in a world under incredible threat of climate collapse in which people like, I dunno, the literal president, post shit like "why does snow exist if the globe is getting warmer HUH?" while aggressively attacking almost all environmental protections over a 12-month period.

My rabbit was sick today which was fortunately fairly brief. He has bitten my hand a good 50 times, since he gets lividly pissed when I coax him back from the brink of death. Now that he's feeling better he's continued to milk it by convincing me to handfeed him while he loafs.

When you spend time with "livestock" animals, it's obvious that they display a wide range of emotions. This is incredible not because it's surprising, but because humanity has done everything it could to subjugate them and they still have an inherent dignity, like all living creatures do.

Was at the Graymalkin Lane podcast retreat last week, talked about the X-Men, did a PowerPoint about lesbian vampires, and stayed in the hot tub for as long as I humanly could. I'm not in any photos though because I'm the photographer lmao. The trip is over but the group chat continues ❤️
