Using tear gas on unarmed civilians is a war crime.

It was terrible. They were firing the gas into the crowd as we were retreating. This was as normal a crowd as you’ll ever see in Portland. Families, older folks, college kids.

The cruelty of the feds is on another level.

I saw you there, we were just a little ways behind you, my family with my kids, their friends ans their parents and our teachers. All getting attacked with flash bangs and tear gas. #FuckICE

I just got tear gassed along with thousands of union members, many of whom had their families with them. Federal agents at the ICE facility tear gassed children. We must abolish ICE, DHS, and we must have prosecutions. I expect to see enforcement of our city code prohibiting the use of tear gas.

The arrests of journalists Don Lemon and Georgia Fort are a test for every MSM member with a platform. If you are not voicing your outrage at this blatant violation of the First Amendment, you are utterly discredited as a journalist.

If you see this, don't participate. It's a rigged study by Lisa Littman and unethical researcher J. Michael Bailey meant to undermine access to care. Spread the word.

UPDATE: The Trump regime did NOT let Wael’s father attend his funeral.

Monstrous.

What difference does "equity" make to a library?

It means access for people with disabilities who can't follow strict rules about noises.
...or who've just had their ID taken in a homeless camp sweep.
...or who don't have a safe place to store extra bag.
...or who want to see themselves in books.
"The Fort Vancouver Regional Libraries board removed references to equity from the district’s strategic plan at a contentious meeting Monday night."

This is Washington state. A board member quit in disapproval.

Airports across Asia have increased screening after a Nipah virus outbreak in India.

5 cases were reported in West Bengal, prompting surveillance in Thailand, Nepal and Taiwan. About 100 people are quarantined.

WHO warns Nipah can be fatal, with a 40–75% case fatality rate.

Wael Tarabishi, the last person I wrote about for the Star-Telegram, died on Friday.

Wael’s health declined rapidly after his father and primary caretaker, Maher, was detained by ICE last fall.

The Tarabishi family believes that if Maher had not been arrested, Wael would still be alive. I do too.
new: I wrote about Wael Tarabishi, a 30-year-old man with a rare genetic disorder, his father, Maher, who has spent the last 25 years keeping him alive, and the routine immigration appointment that led to ICE detaining his dad indefinitely.

Also, I wrote about Dragon Ball Z. Stay with me. (🎁 link)

Basically the rules are whatever we decide they are at any given time - the fascist playbook
Trump: "With that being said, you can't have guns. You can't walk in with guns. You just can't. You can't walk in with guns. You can't do that. But it's just a very unfortunate incident."

Just words
Walz: "I don't care if you are conservative are flying a Donald Trump flag, a libertarian 'Don't Treat on Me,' a Democratic Socialist -- this an inflection point. If we cannot all agree that the smearing of a citizen and besmirching everything they stood for -- someone has to be accountable."

Got the GP office involved who sent a more urgent referral(first one was marked urgent anyway) plus another req for the other half of the ultrasound. Both offices had different stories, so we just left it. Don't have a good feeling about this gyne. Fuck, it's the system that's the problem every time
Damn, being sick is exhausting. My wife got an ultrasound appt for today but they only wanted to do half of it. We'll have to come back if this half doesn't find the problem. Gyne office told us the doc said she could wait 4-6 wks for an appt which is clearly not right

Finally I said "are we going to have to ask you each time to wear a mask" to which she replied "I thought because I was only in here a few moments it's fine" & I replied "it only takes that long and you know it".

In the Camrose ER with my wife. Had to ask both the doc and the nurse to wear a mask. They both pushed back. Doc said "why" & "I don't have anything (communicable)" and the nurse kept over and over coming in without one.
