Part of me wants to feel bad for canceling my Post subscription in 2024. But how else could we respond? It was the only way we could really be heard that this was unacceptable. I wish he had just sold the paper instead of tearing it down. But that’s not in us, that’s on him.

It’s not just ICE. What we’ve all learned to our detriment over the past year is that everything we thought we knew about how the government worked just wasn’t true. We all thought there were guard rails but they were only ever just suggestions.
You really won't be able to put the snakes back in the can. Any vision of ICE going back to being somehow lawful and peacekeeping (which they never were, but are now off the leash) is gone -- no trust can be reclaimed by the average citizen because what they'll remember is this terror.
If that wasn’t cruel enough, ICE has now been terrorizing this community all night with tear gas. ICE needs to leave our City immediately. Follow official City channels for more updates.
