I don't usually criticize Sunday show anchors. Brennan in particular is very good. But it's misleading to parrot the GOP habit of quoting Katherine Clark, who said Democrats were using the shutdown as "leverage" — without noting that Clark said the point of the leverage was to restore health care.

At today's GOP presser, Mike Johnson links Mamdani to Obama, "who made health care unaffordable with his own socialist scheme."
Calling subsidized private health insurance a socialist scheme is a quick way to show everyone that when you decry "socialism," you just mean anything that helps people.
