Not Hayley Williams. Pro-abortion. Eat the rich, not animals. Israel is a terrorist state. Joe Biden owes me $600.

I'm quite confident both sides actually desire this to an extent, though mostly for reasons distinct from one another--the right wants to kill "criminals" and further entrench an authoritarian hierarchy based on race (and class, despite most being too stupid to recognize it)
it's genuinely wild how much conservative literature is basically desiring this as an outcome

i was reading kurt's latest fiction book earlier

This is playful hyperbole, but it's basically impossible to overstate how exquisitely repulsive any and all "manosphere" aura is to women. Just ugly little boys crying angrily in a corner somewhere. Grow up, learn how to cook, wear clothes that fit, be kind to others.

Too vague. "LOCK THEM UP" is literally all you need. Dems don't want to win though
just spitballing here: a good slogan for dems in 2026 or 2028 might be BAN SCAMS

And thus electoralism isn’t the sole path to be taken. Without militancy of the left in this country nothing will be accomplished. The capitalists have a militant right wing backing them

Antisemitism is a lot like Qanon child abuse conspiracies in that there’s this real and bad phenomenon and, parallel to that, what can only be described as a large scale mass psychosis about a mostly fictional version of the same phenomenon

none of these people are "hard" they're the softest losers around who like to posture by going after the targets least able to defend themselves, this is literally the schoolyard bully who wanted to be considered a badass because he spent the lunch break torturing butterflies
Your regular reminder that there is absolutely nothing "hard" or "tough" about targeting the poorest, most vulnerable, and least able to defend themselves groups of people on the entire planet

It's not their fault. Democrats don't have some magic lever they can pull. They couldn't and can't actually do anything about this situation. Nonetheless, it's very important you keep voting for them so they can do something about this situation.

-This is not a bad deal for Dems. Big donors r happy so they are happy.
-Jeffries is against it because hes in the House.
- the Dems supporting it either aren’t up for reelection or no challengers.
-Shutdown was probably starting to affect the markets which is why big donors told DNC/GOP to end it.
Tentative Senate deal to end shutdown, multiple sources tell me & @frankthorp.bsky.social:

—CR through Jan 30
—Approps minibus
—Fully funds SNAP
—Reverses Trump’s shutdown RIFs
—Promise of Senate vote on ACA subsidies by Dec second week (details/outcome uncertain)
—Led by King/Shaheen/Hassan

"World's first potential trillionaire has killed 600,000 people, including 400,000 children" is the only headline that anyone should ever read about Elon Musk
One analytical model shows that, as of November 5th, the dismantling of U.S.A.I.D. has already caused the deaths of 600,000 people, two-thirds of them children. https://newyorkermag.visitlink.me/jUzNSc
The Shutdown of U.S.A.I.D. Has Already Killed Hundreds of Thousands
The short documentary “Rovina’s Choice” tells the story of what goes when aid goes.

That someone can be richly rewarded and praised for this level of analysis is as damning a condemnation of our society as should be needed to spur someone towards violent revolution
What Democrats need to do is neither embrace the ideas of the Bernie / AOC / Mamdani faction nor obsessively freeze Bernie / AOC / Mamdani out.

What they have to do is be tougher on crime and illegal immigration and prioritize broad-based prosperity over emissions reductions and identity politics.

This is another reason socialist society must be fought for. The bourgeois ruling class will never truly bring their own criminals to justice.

Making the active choice to withhold emergency funding and starve large swaths of the country is “political violence” and it should be reported and viewed as such
Seeing conservative commentators joyfully mock poor people and their children horrified at the prospect of going hungry really puts a laser focus into how completely full of shit they were while clutching their pearls over “political violence”.

study after study after study shows that literally just handing people money and telling them "do what you want with this" reduces homelessness, increases food security for children, makes it more likely people will find and retain jobs.1

It doesn’t get more pathetic than this. What a complete loser.

Sure, but it's the idiocy--the drooling, slackjawed ignorance of these people--that really does me in. When you're poking holes in your ship because you think there's a stowaway aboard, I just don't know how I can be expected to consider you an equal human being with thoughts worthy of consideration
“some people abuse SNAP” your soul is rotten

A Nazi tattoo is 100% disqualifying, immediately, with no exceptions, and no clemency offered. It doesn't get more straightforward and "sane" than that.
It is so lucky for Democrats that this kind of discourse is no longer on Twitter where the national media and politicians would see it. Better for it to be sealed off in this asylum. This is genuinely just insane.
Robert Byrd seemed to genuinely repent for his past and spent decades atoning for it, to the point where the NAACP mourned his death as the loss of a civil rights champion. People can indeed change.

But there's no sign of a similar arc of sincere repentance and reckoning in Platner's case.
