I remember in college talking to someone with ‘bad vibes’ for lack of a better word. About politics. Like someone wiped their shoes into my brain. Over time, I became careful about who I talked with, chose to sit in the library alone and read. Now I seek out social media, get bad vibed 100x a day.

does Avatar have dedicated stores in suburban malls because Hello Kitty has
Hello Kitty, if the data is to be believed, has out-grossed Spider-Man. What can you tell me about Hello Kitty, except that she wears a bow?
Is there any franchise that's made more money and had less impact on wider culture than Avatar?

Like, nowhere else will you read about local dudes making T-shirts that read “Vineyard Wind is ISIS,” and no one but a local Nantucket writer like Burnham could have written a piece like this one. Truly fascinating.

If you click on my profile and look at my banner you'll see Darwin the chahoua gecko and it's remarkable the similarities in his 'eyelashes' to the feathers on these birds around their eyes.
This is a more poorly lit eye, but it was physically closer, so i was more willing to risk a slower shutter speed(1/500) to get the ISO down(450).

Great opportunity when it was a captive audience! (drinking from a feeder) 🪶

We're a few weeks into our end of year crowdfunding campaign—donate $100 or more (check out that $230 option!) and we'll send you our first commemorative challenge coin celebrating 30 years of Section 230. I've already laid out why our coverage matters, why we're not selling out (because we’re not like Bari Weiss), and why we're one of the only sites getting Section 230 right…
