I am experiencing a strange phenomenon for me, which is that I am finding audiobooks difficult to read and am drawn much more to the act of physically reading so far this year.
The past few years, I've been reading 90% audiobooks, but this year I'm at almost 50/50 split. 🤷

Someone has sure already made this observation but the fact they can convert all those empty warehouses into prison camps means they could have converted them into housing, community centers, job training centers or, hell, libraries or schools all along. It’s always a matter of will not resources.

People really need to understand that the primary process is where you cement power. When standard Republicans started to get primaried for Tea Party fuckos, things went downhill fast.
We have the chance this year to not only take back the House (or if we're dreaming, even the Senate), but to primary the hell of a lot of D losers and shift the party significantly to the left. We have the chance to lean on ALL of our reps to actually do something.

I'll support nearly anyone over Newsom in the primary (he's better than Rahm Emanuel lol), less because he's awful (he is) and more because material conditions will probably propel ANY Dem to a '28 win. That's an opportunity to pick someone who will aggressively push for change. Which is not Newsom.
