This atrium was also the place where they would have a lararium, a shrine dedicated to the house gods, the Lares.
I made a post about it a while back:

If you get your own Hermanubis statue, and don't know what to do with it, here's a little inspiration. A proper Ancient Roman Domus needed a Lararium, a little temple dedicated to the house gods, called Lares.
Sometimes they were built in a corner of the house, sometimes they were made out of wood.

Y’all, don’t be fucking dicks to staffers, it is neither nice nor particularly productive
You ever call a senator's office and ask the staffer who picks up what it's like to work for someone without a spine?
10/10 recommend.

Adam Corolla is the textbook example of why divorce protections are important for nonworking spouses - he used to brag routinely on his show about how his wife didn't have to work because he earned so much. It was a point of pride for him that she quit her job when they got married.
They used to wiretap your phones to collect this kind of information from you but now you pay for a Bluecheck and post it yourself

A single shared source of truth is essential for a functioning democracy.
Without it you’re left with fragmentation, polarisation and a perpetual culture war where the discourse focuses on what divides us rather than what we have in common.

USAID is still gone, no other country has shown either the will or the ability to fill in the services whose disappearance is going to kill millions of people, and no one in the media or political class cares that we are going to kill more people than the Holocaust before this is over 👍
