Wow, good morning skywalkers! Thanks and welcome to everyone, this is the number of people who followed me on X when I left...
I hope I won't disappoint you, I will follow up later with a proper and updated introduction.
Because of the Great Dental Schism, when dentists who didn't recognize the supremacy of their Western counterparts started calling themselves Orthodontists.

No other press corps in history would have stayed quiet and kept going after such an insult.
No other audience in history would have accepted that people reporting to them about their government is silenced and mistreated.
I’m still thinking about “quiet, piggy.” No president should be able to speak to a member of the press that way and remain president. That moment encapsulates how vile, misogynistic, and horrible that man is.

Willfully ignoring science - especially in vital areas like health, safety, defense, education, climate, and the economy - is a recipe for disaster. We are crippling our nation by dumbing down our children, just to coddle those who are fearfully insecure in their religious faith.

The United States is no longer providing any financial support for Ukraine according to Kiel's tracker - and has not been for a few months now (although I do wonder how one counts the intelligence support).

Europe is footing the bill alone.

I had /have issues with Amazon, Ebay, Apple AND Audible because I moved countries. Digital world my a**.

Still can’t get certain apps, had to close and reopen accounts because they can’t change things, it’s beyond absurd.
Insanity inducing how bad international companies are with moving countries. I got my Google account subscription for storage when living in Sweden, so I still have to pay this sub in SEK. So a Google play code I buy in euro cannot be used to pay this subscription

He’s going to kill people for oil.

A new decade-long Brexit study explains it:

a 6–8% hit to GDP – that's £180bn-£240bn a year – means less tax, less investment and less money for everything else.

Brexit made Britain poorer. Much poorer.

It's also vastly easier and cheaper for media outlets to produce culture war content than policy stuff.

With policy, you have to find actual experts that are available and willing, then pray they're good entertaining communicators.

On culture shit, you start with a talking head and work backwards.
This chart (which applies even more to social media than it did to TV) lives in my head rent free.

Social media enveloping traditional media means everything and everyone is now competing in the entertainment market. Boring stuff like policy that affects millions of lives doesn’t stand a chance.
