Remember the moral panic about safetyism? Trigger warnings? Snowflakes? Well, its actually happening in Texas.
The University of Texas System’s Board of Regents unanimously approved a rule requiring its universities to ensure students can graduate without studying “unnecessary controversial subjects,” despite warnings it could leave them less prepared for the real world.
University of Texas regents OK limits on controversial subjects
Opponents warned the policy’s vagueness could push professors to self-censor and leave students less prepared for the workplace.

From Iran’s perspective, these various US and Israeli strikes make the case for their perceived need for nuclear capability, so it’s difficult to see how such strikes would result in the leaders of the Iranian regime agreeing to the very concessions Trump is demanding in that regard.

This country is so broken that Americans can put child sex trafficking in quotes. We normalized this shit arguing over the release of the Files for years and years. It's disgusting. This is all they wanted. As long as there's "two sides" to pedophilia the water can be muddied
Silly me. It's already begun.

This photo of Trump hanging as a banner on the DOJ building but the header reads "WANTED".
The message from the DOJ is unmistakable: Justice is no longer the objective.

Retribution is.

I've been saying it a lot, but these deaths line up with what happened in early concentration camps during other regimes: Deaths from poor conditions, disease, or abuse. These deaths are not accidental. They are the direct result of a camp system that is designed to harm those being imprisoned.
I received notification of yet another death at an ICE facility, meaning 38 people have died in custody since Trump returned to office.

ICE is failing to ensure the health and safety of the people it is responsible for.

We need immediate oversight of this entire operation.

The instinct to pardon Nixon under the justification that it was necessary to "protect the office of President" was never about the office but about the tradition of men who had and were projected to continue to hold that position of power.
I have really come to believe that we'd be in a much better place right now if we had put Nixon away in a dingy cell for the rest of his natural life, instead of the slap on the wrist for being naughty that he actually received.
