honestly I'm sick to death of everything cool from space exploration to strength training to norse mythology being ceded to the worst people without a fight. By declaring someone decent can't be into those things, you're not ensuring they won't exist, they'll just exist in the worst possible form

Judges love it when you do this.
Yeah, crucially the person who submitted the declaration was questioned under oath and said that he was told what to write in the declaration by a State Department official, and that he had no personal knowledge himself.
The guy who dictated the contents of that declaration, but avoided signing it himself, should be called into court to explain why he provided what appears to be false information to the court.

In short, the capitalist only risks becoming a worker. The worker risks everything and is at the mercy of the decisions made by the capitalist. That is, unless we organize to fire the boss.

There is no single event or person that precipitated America's march to the right. It is the result of the class war, which has existed since prehistory. As capitalism's crises grow more and more destructive, the Bourgeoisie will resort to more and more violent means to remain in power.

The democrats are Nazis just like the republicans are. There really is quite no explanation other than they want to serve the fascists rn and view every voter and those who want a better world with extreme malice and distain.
There is no opposition, no leadership, no meaningful gesture. Nothing.

genuinely when you're online arguing that the graphs say the economy is good actually, what do you expect people to say? what is the end result you're hoping for? for everyone to stop complaining about their personal starvation, evictions and medical debt because a line is going up somewhere?

What if I told you that the University of Michigan was one of the most infamous offenders of faculty and student rights during McCarthyism? It feels like their current moves targeting student protestors are in alignment with this dubious honor.

in fact they postponed this surrender specifically to not negatively impact turnout, and then carefully arranged 8 votes from folks who won't be up for re-election anytime soon. They KNOW they are hated by their own constituents. And they know there are no consequences for it.

as the husband of a mahjong addict, dudes need to identify an activity that can be done relatively easily in groups with minimal financial commitment so they can get out of the house for 2-3 hours on a school night, have two beers, and shoot the shit with their buddies.

It won't be mahjong tho.

there are real moderates, but they tend to be much weirder than this

not only that, a whole bunch of Dem governors got to feed their people and gain a potentially lethal political attack 'when they tried to starve you, democrats fed you'
If 40 million people go hungry, it would be because the Trump administration ignored a court order, not because Democrats fought for Article I powers.
I think one thing we lose sight of is that it’s really easy to chant that we gotta touch the stove, and it’s a completely different thing to be the owner of the ongoing decision that 40 million people gotta go hungry. That’s a heavy thing and I’m not at all surprised that some Dems are worried.
