Been thinking about this post for the past day because my first instinct was to be defensive, after all, awkward cinnamon roll nerds with training montages is, like, *my whole brand.* But having spent a lot of time in these communities, can I say Mr. Brassey is wrong here? LMAO NO I CANNOT.
By the way group 1 is not free of toxicity either. Nothing can be worse than a nerd who discovers in their 20’s that they can become physically strong. Some of them take that pain of having been roughed up and go “nobody will feel that way on my watch.”

A meltdown trigger I have is when I can't relax in what had previously been a safe place. For instance I used to go to my parents' house to veg out and watch movies, but when my son was a toddler it became a nonstop high alert stress fest worrying about whether he was going to break their stuff

unfortunately my ADHD brain is more like:
-does not see messy room
-shoves shit into a pile, perfectly enjoys chilling in messy room
-wonders why people I live with are annoyed at me
-does not see messy room

there's a scene in my WIP where the MC has to pretend bodyguard someone he doesn't like very much so when he arrests a would-be assailant he's like "I'm so sorry you actually have my deepest sympathies but I can't blow my cover yet" and gives him a sandwich in jail ANYWAY I have a point I promise

Janus is loyal to a fault which is why he reacts badly when others are disloyal to him. He also cares about the greater good more than he cares about being liked and genuinely thinks he's doing the right thing for mostly selfless reasons

Janus is loyal to a fault which is why he reacts badly when others are disloyal to him. He also cares about the greater good more than he cares about being liked and genuinely thinks he's doing the right thing for mostly selfless reasons
