A question from Mrs Clanger this morning revealed that she has been mishearing the title of a much-discussed science fiction novel as "There Is No Anti-Emetics Division" and was wondering why there was so much fuss about a book on vomiting.

Creators beware & spread the word!

There are so many job scams right now, and this is not the only industry being targeted. I get regular emails from fake recruiters targeting me with fake jobs in instructional design, technical writing/editing, etc. It's so bad!
ITS A SCAM. THE JOB IS A SCAM.
Jfc this is so targeted. Recruiting emails. A nice website & game sample on Steam. Interview focusing on storyboarding skills. Portfolio review. Official employment letter. Onboarding emails across two days. Then they hit me with wanting me to cash a check. 😫

The offenders are blinkmoon.com
I don't even think they're a real studio, this is a whole project dedicated to scamming
Upon closer inspection some of their links are broken or lead to an HR website that works with OpenAI

Oh, and the very first page of the Project 2029 agenda needs to be legislation to waive all federal immunities for state crimes committed by Federal officers from 2025-2029

Let's take it a step further. Look up Asian Exclusion Acts (yes the first act was Chinese exclusion, but it wasn't the only one) then look up Bath Riots. By this point in the reading you should be clear on what's happening. But let's say you aren't, look up Mississippi appendectomy

If you need more examples look up "Pinkertons union busting". Not enough? Try "Race Riots". You can add in places like Chicago, Hempstead County, Elaine Arkansas, Louisiana...you get the idea. There's nothing more American than state sponsored violence against marginalized communities.

The most American thing we do, when we do it, is move closer to that “more perfect union.” Since the founding, our values haven’t always matched our actions, as many founding fathers acknowledged, but it is still very American to move ever closer to harmonize the two, and unAmerican to move away.

"If a man does not have an ideal and try to live up to it, then he becomes a mean, base, and sordid creature, no matter how successful."

- Theodore Roosevelt

The point of an ideal is that "try to live up to it" part. We're imperfect, individually and collectively, but the job is to strive.

Also if you want change it’s much more effective to say that we’re not living up to our traditional values than to say that we never really had those values in the first place and therefore we’re just doing what we always do. The first motivates people. The second is demoralizing and nihilistic.
