I do not make this comparison lightly.
It might be because the first season did the work of getting me invested in these characters...so even a narrative that kinda went all over the place didn't distract me from the emotional journey of each character.
Somehow, the end of the first season of Fallout didn't hit me nearly as hard as the end of the second season. I feel like I was beaten with a Feels Stick.
Weirdly, I don't feel the second season was as focused as the first...but somehow had way more emotional content and I couldn't tell you why.
