1. Historically, eugenics was not a pseudoscience. It was *science* Almost every scientist, social scientist, academic, etc. believed in the validity of eugenics. You would have to search far & wide to find a scientist that didn't believe in some form of it. They taught it in college!

That's Rev. Michael Woolf, and this is his church.

Everyone heard about the shooting at Valley Fair this Black Friday Weekend. Luckily no one was killed.

But I bet you didn't hear about the MURDER ARREST that happened on Sunday across the street!

In other words, Hegseth was outed as a war criminal by a fellow Iraq vet who got the story from presumably high-level military officials inside the Pentagon. In case you were wondering how the military feels about him.

Hegseth should know that he can't trust anyone around him in that building.

Maybe I’ll tell y’all about Thanksgiving in Uzbekistan, where I was in the peace corps 2000-2001.
I lived in a town; nearest American lived in a qishloq - a true village. A few of us somehow figured out to meet there. (How? No internet, no phones. No recollection of how we planned anything.) 1/

This is partly bc Mike Johnson is a shithole, and partly bc Trump has domesticated and threatened even the right wingers, but Stephen Miller has to be a significant part of this, bc he's an even bigger asshole than all the others.

This isn't conspiracy theory. It's not hyperbole. It's a plain fact—visible right now, in real time—that hunger, homelessness, and economic precarity aren't just allowed to happen. They're actively inflicted.

What we’re witnessing in America is what happens when disordered discourse captures a political party, then the state itself. The Republican Party was the first to fall - abandoning truth for conspiracy, ideology for grievance, and policy for performative outrage.

BREAKING: Pope Leo XIV is set to effectively disband Opus Dei in the coming weeks.

This would be the most sweeping internal reform of his pontificate — and a dramatic continuation of Pope Francis’s legacy.
NEW: Pope Leo Set To Break Up Opus Dei
If Pope Leo does indeed approves a plan that effectively dissolves Opus Dei’s structure, it would be the most significant internal action of his short pontificate to date.

This isn’t the whole story, of course – but if it’s not at the core of your story, you’re on the wrong track.

Add “Once democracy made it possible for women to threaten patriarchal domination and for queer people to publicly affirm their identity” – and we’re already very, very close.
Once American democracy made it possible for a Black man to be elected president, American conservatives decided that it had to be destroyed
