It's not "blacklisting" in hack. It's "putting them out of business." I worked for a govt that tried that once (against my advice and one other flack's). The guy promptly spent his suddenly-free time filing freedom of info requests on expenses. Within months, he had taken out two cabinet ministers.
Alberta's Ministry of Education says it is blacklisting CityNews unless it agrees to the UCP government's demand to unpublish a news article and publicly apologize to them

Anyone still under that illusion should watch premier Smith's speech to Albertans tomorrow.

The UCP has forced every municipality in Alberta to repeal any bylaw placing limits on election signs on public property.

This means signs can be:
✅ in intersections
✅ in public parks
✅ unrestricted in number and frequency

I *love* this ternary chart showing developing economies increasingly go directly for clean electrons (solar plus some wind), bypassing the fossil economy that the US and EU went through.

I expect Africa will take an even more direct route than India.

Non-motorist safety infrastructure should be a key priority for the upcoming #yyccc four-year budget cycle. It was good to see support for Vision Zero measures from several councillors but we must do more to address this. We need to see real action to ensure “safe streets for our kids”. #yyc
