“safety is a shared responsibility”
earnestly think it would be better for the sport if hits like the one that Ituka took were illegal. in rugby that type of contact above the shoulders is a red card and a suspension. need better protection for players.
Cignetti says Wisconsin running back Gideon Ituka has feeling in his extremities. Ituka was carted off the field and eventually left the stadium by ambulance.

TDOT has reopened their NEPA public comment period for the I-24 Choice Lanes project which will impact our neighborhood. NEPA is a procedural law that guides agency decision making. It can be confusing! I’ll be helping demystify the process for our neighbors. Join us!

This. I love the 3’s. They’re starting to get it, but still every day is a new one and it’s a big world and they’re eager to own it.

A growing coalition is calling on WeGo to freeze fares during the lapse in SNAP benefits. Riders shouldn’t have to choose between going to the food bank and going to a Metro agency to get a bus pass. Let’s make transit a lifeline, not a burden.

Very cool write-up about a little thing a neighbor and I started doing in the neighborhood a couple of years ago. Major credit due to Urban Bicycle Food Ministry for the framework and inspiration!
In Woodbine, a small group of volunteers rides bikes throughout the neighborhood, distributing food and Narcan, fighting huge problems. Woodbine doesn’t have a major grocery store, and after recent deaths, the neighborhood’s unhoused community fear for their lives.

i am totally fine but i was run into by a driver at 8th and Demonbreun today during the ped only phase due in large part to the fact that the intersection is still not properly signed (no signs restricting right on red)
NDOT should probably tap these local experts when they do studies like this to determine where we've got issues.

Jeremiah says the ped scrambles need to be properly signed or else people don't know how to use the crossing infrastructure. This incentivizes noncompliance when waiting times are long.

bike lane bounty now!
This isn’t the point but since Codes can deputize volunteers to submit infractions can NDOT do the same thing for citations?
