Mountain View CA Police Chief Mike Canfield has suspended ALPR usage due to data being accessed by outside agencies.

As a bike commuter it’s really appalling how often you witness drivers operating 2 ton motor vehicles while scrolling on their phone as if they were on the couch. How is this so common? How did we let it get this bad?
