Okay this little color recreation game is pretty cool, harder than I thought it would be! I consistently made the color way brighter than it should have been despite landing the hue which is giving me lots of thoughts on color perception dialed.gg

BREAKING: The Department of Education has ended its directive that attempted to restrict diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts in schools nationwide.

This is a victory for academic freedom and education equity.

There is another meeting scheduled about East Bend on Feb 23 at 6pm. My understanding is that the content will be similar to the last meeting but there will be an opportunity to ask direct questions.

A separate meeting is also supposed to be scheduled regarding the Public Realm Design Framework.

Few things are true here, imo: 1. Acme is a downtown jewel and I hope steps are taken to keep it around. 2. Fox 17 clipped mayor's statement to make it sound worse and more callous than it actually was. 3. Mayor's statement still not great!

"The measure of a city’s homelessness response is not how many reports it produces or how many plans it writes. It is whether people survive long enough to benefit from them." - Will Connelly.
Homelessness is lethal. Cold weather just makes it more visible.
During the ice storm in late January, a street newspaper vendor died while living outside. This is not an unpredictable tragedy unfortunately.

Also Bridgestone Arena is open April 30-May 1

I’m just saying
We are living through dark, disturbing and dangerous times, but do not despair — the cavalry is coming! Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band will be taking the stage this spring from Minneapolis to California to Texas to Washington, D.C. for the Land of Hope And Dreams American Tour.

I don’t know who needs to hear this but Acme Feed & Seed not only supports local musicians - they’ve also fed THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS of people throughout Middle TN in the wake of disasters. Tom, Lauren, and everybody else at TomKats deserve better than being blown off by our leaders. This is awful.

Tonight my friends and I played some sort of bonkers 10-person arcade game in which the secret to winning was actually to fall all the way to the bottom, get on a snail, and ride it very slowly to the goal while everyone else flapped and jumped around. This is a metaphor that will stay with me

Ahhhhh such sad news. I had an artist on a writers’ round with him a few years back, and not only did Billy seem like a very kind man, I got to hear him sing “Like A Virgin.” Unforgettable, just like the songs he wrote.
