Shot in the dark: Wally’s favorite toy got disemboweled by a dog friend while I was out of town, and they don’t seem to make this anymore. Does anybody have a Zippy Paws corgi that their dog doesn’t care about that you’d be willing to rehome?

With apologies to Nashville, I like this one better.

There’s this whole beautiful incredible unbelievable not-U.S. world out there, and I’m so happy to be in it right now.
Looking down at Grad (Old Town) Dubrovnik) from the top. It’s the view down an alley staircase at dusk. The limestone walls on either side glow yellow in the streetlights and the roofs of the buildings at the bottom are stucco red. On the other side of the town is a green mountain, half-shrouded in cloud.

Nashville I genuinely believe we can do better than asking soccer fans to walk under a pitch-dark interstate after the match. Can we get #EverybodyN on making this safer?

A bunch of freshly-planted multicolored pansy starts in a brick-lined bed around the base of a young cherry tree. There’s some scraggy catmint and bee balm in there too. I was gonna mulch but the leftover mulch bag is full of ants right now.

When you’re restless and annoyed and hungry you get on your disco ebike to ride someplace to get some food but then you forget it’s raining so you turn around and go to the local pasta joint that’s just two blocks from your house and still feel much better

Had a great night watching a documentary about Cornelia Fort at Cornelia Fort airpark here in Nashville tonight! Wally also enjoyed it until the drag racing and backfiring cars on Briley across the river drove him to madness. Still, nice to be under the stars with neighbors.

My incredibly handsome black scruffy supermutt Wally is sitting and looking straight into the camera with his creepy yellow human eyes. He looks freshly shorn which makes the white on his face and mustache and eyebrows even more pronounced, like he’s wearing pancake makeup. An orange necktie hangs jauntily from his neck. He is slightly stoned because he took a little trazodone last night to make it through some storms.

A green furry mascot with antennae AND ears, and tiny shoulders but a hula hoop sized belly, wears a bizarre blue hat shaped like a condom tip, a white Astros jersey with a star, and rainbow sleeves/socks. His facial expression is frozen in a permanent “cute” smile that I find uncanny and horrible. A green, not furry alien mascot, again with ears AND antennae, now about 200 lbs “skinnier” and wearing a navy blue baseball cap that reads “Astros” and an Astros shooting star jersey. It is also wearing a red polka dot skirt ruffle of some sort. Its legs are very thin and more furry than its head. The fabric down there is slack and sad. Its expression is still smiling but more nefarious now.
