It is kinda interesting that Sexton just tagged Freddie and Marsha in his NES criticism post on Facebook.

Hilarious that we’re in the golden age of everyone being able to vibecode a dashboard in minutes but the home page of NES is just an Excel screenshot.

Grilled Cheeserie coming back to Hunter's Station

Very curious to know what they paid for in rent during their first stint at Hunter's Station from 2019-2022 vs. what they will pay now.

Obvi more but I wonder if its more or less than what they were offered to renew in 2022

Congestion Pricing’s Unexpected Winners: Suburban Drivers
NYC’s controversial toll program hasn’t just sped up trips inside Manhattan, a new paper finds. It’s easing traffic in outer boroughs and neighboring counties.

This power outage would be less miserable if there was a prediction market on when NES gets under 100k/50k/25k homes without power.

It creates a data point to challenge official PR, and gives folks at NES a financial incentive to share a real truth anonymously, rather than being forced to stonewall

I have now spent almost 30% of this year without power

Anyone needing transportation to a warming station can call 615-401-1712. (Be prepared to share your name, location, number of people needing transportation, special needs or mobility concerns, and whether you’re bringing pets.)

I woke up this morning and said the same thing I say every morning, “I’m grateful to have power.”

what does @zachyoungtn.bsky.social, @erinoharatn.bsky.social @abigailtylor.bsky.social and other school board members think of this community engagement effort that feels like it’s been structured so nothing changes?
All three of the proposals are a joke. The research is clear. High school shouldn't start until 9 AM and nothing like that is on the table.

This sucks.

This isn't a new crossing into East Nashville. There just building off of what Dickerson/1st street going under the interstate.

That area is horrible for pedestrians.

Lately, it does sound a lot like Colby is running for mayor
I love how in one hour people on here have spent time coming up with ideas to try to make folks’ lives easier and more enjoyable, even with disagreement, while the mayor makes up scenarios where we blow up a water park
Charlie but wait, serious question, what if zoom-zoom hours were implemented on the airpark in the meantime? Like adult skate but for bikes

Yikes
🚨 Ransomware gang DragonForce has taken credit for an October cyber attack on the city of La Vergne, Tennessee 🇺🇸 It alleges to have stolen 382 GB of data.

The group has given the city a week to pay its ransom before the data is leaked.

Whatever you call them - detached unit, DADU, carriage house, back house, mother-in-law suite - we - the Metro Council - just made them legal over one of the physically largest urban areas in the lower 48.

It wasn’t easy, it wasn’t always fun, and we have more to go.

But we’re doing it.

The unfortunate truth is that in previous 2025 special elections, Democrats outperformed Trump’s 2024 by an average of 18 points vs. the 13 points that Dems achieved in TN-07 last night.

Given that Nashvillians _hate_ airbnb's, they should be more receptive to new hotels.

If you have a complaint, would you rather call up some owner who lives in California? Or an actual person who works and (hopefully) lives in the neighborhood.
Housing for 950 more Nashville households, plus a 150-room hotel and a bunch of commercial space. All on just 13 acres adjacent to Nashville’s first (future) BRT line. This Southern Land Co development at the former Nashville Diesel College in East Nashville is pretty pretty good.

The Metro Nashville Airport Authority rakes in $113 million per year in parking revenue. Someone explain to me the incentive they have for people to arrive via a bus? It’s going to take political will to prioritize this.

Cleveland could be such an important street.

East Nashville needs a bike (and bus) corridor that cuts across East. From Dickerson Pike to Shelby Bottoms.

And ofc if we figure out how to burrow under the interstate....
Your regular reminder that despite the faded lines and leftover sign, there are still no bike lanes on Cleveland St, 8 years after they were removed by the previous councilmember.

Well, at the very least, this is an opportunity for other 2028 hopefuls to make an entrance into the TN-07 race.

Harris has clearly chosen her TN ally.

What other contenders see this as an opportunity to make some allies in a *very* silly inter-party squabble?

Awesome to hear neighbors Zach and India talk about Trinity’s vision!

Build more housing.
Did you know that faith-based properties can develop affordable housing on their land? The good folks at Trinity Community Commons in East Nashville are using their former church lot to do just that. They’re on the show today to tell us how they’re making it happen, and why it matters. 💛
