Hilarious story about the Times of London interviewing the wrong De Blasio and a couple of incredible sentences here.

Through the ring doorbell?!

Ha!

Looks like Cleveland Park has annexed Wilburn St!!!

Just submitted a complain on wego's website.

Not to side track, but this is just not a good way of getting customer feedback.

It's very presumptive on what the complaint is going to be

Wow! I had this same complaint saved in my notes.

That bus stop is always moving and there is no attempt ever to tell people where the stop is going to be.

I asked the inbound bus driver where the stop was for my return when I got off at Junior Gilliam and what he told me was even wrong.

Great to see the state set up an economic development office in Taiwan

Seems like Steve Cohen was blindsided by Justin Pearson’s primary challenge.

Odd, considering Pearson’s been floated for that seat for years, and this is about as favorable an environment as you’ll get to primary a safe-seat Dem.

Man, @hubnashville.bsky.social is great, but it still needs a lot of UX work.

What modern site gives you 16 options to scroll through before proceeding?

Genuinely unclear why the best four parking spots at the McFerrin Park community center need to be reserved at all times for Metro Parks Staff.

Great stats on a distressing trend. Some highlights:

- Pedestrian deaths are up 78% since 2009
- The rise is highest in the South and West
- No similar surge in other nations
- Cause remains unclear, but larger SUVs and phone use likely play roles

New images of Oracle campus just dropped.

No connection over/under the interstate in them.

And isn't the big bad East Bank boulevard going to run through all of those trees?

Well, I just used it for this and it was pretty sweet. Crazy that the Blue Jays payroll is so high.

Is the Canadian government subsidizing them?
October 3, 2025 at 1:46 AM
I was coming here to post this. I absolutely love the Wash and the opportunity for small businesses. Great food options.

Only problems:
1. Very difficult to get to by bike. I live 1.4 miles away, bike often, but even I’m not going down Douglas (esp. with kids)
2. Total disregard for handicap space

The biggest subsidy American taxpayers hand out is the windfall pro sports owners get from publicly funded stadiums.

Case in point: Forbes leads its Titans valuation with the new taxpayer-financed stadium.

Great framing of the issue.

I don't see much of this though. What's an example of this?

I see a lot of bulldozing small homes to build bigger homes, but not very many that have gone multifamily to single family.

okay, on the 86th time i watched it, i couldn't stop laughing at when they show the Yankees dugout on the phone having the conversation, "Holy shit, he's safe, right? We will get it overturned.....oh no. He's out? Because of lack of hustle."
