one of the surprisingly hardest things to convince local governments of is the fact that none of their residents are ever going to look at a municipal structure and say “wow, check out that cost engineering”

While I’m on the topic, I was in Albuquerque a few weeks ago and their bus only lanes are in the center. They have incorporated Native American and SW art into their designs, even on the hwys. It’s beautiful.
