“The Greatest Man That Ever Lived (Variations on a Shaker Hymn)” from Weezer’s surprisingly decent Red Album
Deleted a post about “what’s your least favorite song” because the vibes are bad enough already.

Instead: what’s your favorite song that has a long title, say at least 6 words long?

Mine: “Elderly Woman Behind the Counter in a Small Town” (Pearl Jam)

oh, I’m gonna be requesting them all over, not just in my district.

I think raised crossings are criminally underutilized in Nashville, and I’m making this <A Thing>.

Alright hubNashville gurus, what category should I use for a request for a raised crosswalk? There is a request for a crossing study, but I don’t want another study, I want NDOT to do what it already knows is effective. @hubnashville.bsky.social

I'll allow it if we get a Brightline West station.

WeGo should not still be on snow routes, the roads are completely clear. In fact, they have been clear aince Saturday. WeGo is leaving school kids waiting in the cold, that's not okay.

With newsrooms stripped of reporters, most publications have devolved to regurgitating press releases. But this one especially should not have been repeated credulously by any serious publication.

Thanks, and you’re absolutely right. Just submitted to HubNashville.

I don’t know if this is the reason, but we are still seeing more trees coming down on wires in my neighborhood. But yeah, I hoped to see that number much lower by now!

Riding a 10 bus across SE Portland at 7:30 AM.

Before Covid, this bus would've gotten more crowded approaching downtown.

Now the load is constant with frequent turnover.

Demand for transit is still high but less centralized. Frequent bus grids excel at this.

Nashville cannot be the welcoming, diverse, friendly city it claims to be until we have policies that create more for-sale, family-sized housing to offer families more attainable options. That means our neighborhoods need more townhomes, more cottage courts, and - yes - more fourplexes.
Nashville residents who care about homes for more Nashvillians can contact councilmembers (shoutout @emilyfor7.bsky.social and @quinevanssegall.bsky.social) to ask council to adopt a zoning map that can produce over 100K new homes in the next decade leveraging new housing districts & study findings.

If you're old enough, as I am, you can remember how filthy the air was in this country before this took effect. That's what they want to return to, so they can have more money. That's it.
Probably the most successful piece of legislation in US history, measured by social benefit generated per dollar spent. Also wildly popular, across demographics.

Without any public discussion or consultation of Congress, the Trump administration has effectively killed it.
The Trump administration has “virtually stopped enforcing the Clean Air Act,” lodging just one consent decree in a relatively small case since Trump’s inauguration, compared with 26 in the first year of Trump's first term, & 22 in Biden’s first year. peer.org/under-epas-z... 1/
