Nashville, Tennessee
No one at Metro has told me as much, but it seems like a lot of decisions are motivated by perceived homeless users of public amenities.

And they shut down the fountains at Bicentennial (and Public Square).

In answer to your question, gott be Frankie Pierce, right?

I should be mad at being pandered to, but I'm also enjoying it, so 🤷‍♂️

I had a case early in my career with a death and injuries in a trench collapse due to insufficient shoring. The guy left behind a family. Awful stuff, I still think about those photos sometimes. This is not an area to cut corners.

NDOT is extremely good at ripping out bike lanes. Lightning fast.

And not hourly service like the Bellevue 70. WeGo shouldn't have headways on any route above 30 min. (Looking at you, Route 18.) I think an East Loop would be popular.
November 23, 2025 at 3:59 PM
For that to work, NDOT has to be honest with BPAC and give BPAC the information it needs to do its job.

100% this. We issue bonds and allot capital spending and then sit on the money. I'm looking to NDOT to expand its capabilities to get these projects built with speed and efficiency.
