“Relocating” Nashvillian houses and businesses so the Have’s from other counties can save 6 minutes on their drive to work
Have you all seen this crazy Choice Lane map showing the businesses and residential areas impacted by this lunacy?

IMO It's generally more helpful to make comparisons to American cities.

For influencing TN folk it's more relatable if Indianapolis built a bus only lane than pointing at Tokyo's transit system.

But I also think it's constructive to look at the best versions of things.

Just went through this intersection.

Ped crosswalk striping is done ✔️
Didn’t realize it’s already here! Major win for safety for all road users.

Vision Zero meeting today

5pm
Howard Office Building. Lower entrance & to the right.

You can just walk in & sit down.

700 2nd Ave South.
Did all the Bluesky gossip today on roadway safety pique your interest? Were you not satiated by the East Bend community meeting? 🦞

Please attend tomorrows Vision Zero Advisory Committee Meeting!

The Urbanism of the blank slate East Bank has largely been a disappointment.

But in that context there are positives.

Yesterday's meeting on East Bend (PSC Metals) I learned there will be a diagonal 'linear park' that follows an existing water pipe.

I think that's a great amenity!

Another crash at this intersection. The life expectancy of a telephone pole in this intersection has to be below 2 years.

Almost done with #HumanTransitRevised so I can return it to the Nashville Free Urbanism Book Library 📚

Reminder: Land Use Planning & Transit Planning SHOULD go hand in hand. Not separately.

One trope that won't die is; 'homeless are bussed in from other cities'.

Not that it's never occurred but when homelessness is studied the conclusion is that most are local.

All this being said: is it true Nashville is bussing homeless people to Murfreesboro?
