He's my favorite 11/24 birthday

I was at the cold playoff game he went shirtless.

It was so cold my phone stopped working.

We had to keep beer in a cooler because it would freeze solid in the outside air.

My dad got hit on the wrist with a yard stick for being late to class so don't worry!

Mr. Aaron's is the referenced bagel place in the post.

Riverwood Drive speed cushions.

I still drive Riverwood sometimes despite the cushions. But the % share has gone towards Gallatin since they were installed.

Appreciate the offer. Going to keep this Bluesky inquiry general as sort of a brainstorming exercise for myself. Thanks!

Great idea @colbysledge.bsky.social . But we'd have to sell one of our Dead Malls to afford buying this land! And we all know that's a non-starter.

To be real, I don't think any Metro entity.
-Mayor
-Council
-MDHA

has shown they have the wherewithal to execute such a project. I want to be wrong.

Oh you mean like one that the community applied for and was awarded?

Short answer: IDK 🤷🏼‍♀️

Long answer. This is the 3rd iteration on this stretch. So maybe it started as a request & NDOT has kept iterating?

1. Reflectors
2. Speed cushions
3. Vertical delineation

The nitty gritty of these examples isn't important. It's simply evidence that adjusting design can change driver behavior.

Traffic counts don't always have to go up. Unless we cause them to do so with design decisions.

2) Downtown. Church Street & 8th 8ve - 10th Ave. Experienced General congestion last time I had to cut East to West across town for a Dr. appointment.

I will probably use the highway & go around downtown in the future as it seems to be getting more difficult to cut straight through downtown by car.
